Footage of Israeli Airstrikes on South Lebanon

Israeli forces carried out dozens of airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery barrages across villages and towns south of the Litani River on Sunday, May 31, 2026, with particularly heavy bombardment focused on several border-adjacent communities.

According to local reports, at least 48 distinct attacks were recorded throughout the day, primarily involving warplanes and drones, alongside artillery shelling. The town of Debbin was the most heavily targeted, sustaining repeated strikes from early morning into the night.

Timeline of Major Attacks

The wave of strikes began shortly after midnight:

▪️At 12:19 AM and 12:20 AM, Israeli warplanes conducted raids on Debbin, targeting the Al-Areed area, followed immediately by artillery shelling on the same location.

▪️Additional airstrikes hit Balat at 12:27 AM and Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr (targeting Al-Khalleh and Al-Baraka neighborhoods) in the early morning hours.

▪️A series of powerful explosions rocked Debbin between 3:00 AM and 9:38 AM, including what were described as “massive” blasts.

Activity intensified again in the morning and afternoon. Debbin faced multiple additional airstrikes between 6:22 AM and 8:29 AM. Israeli warplanes also struck Burj Qalawiyah multiple times, with two raids reported at 11:41 AM and further attacks in the afternoon.

In the city of Tyre, three separate airstrikes occurred in rapid succession during the early afternoon:

▪️2:14 PM: Strike on the Farhat Pharmacy building at Abu Deeb roundabout.

▪️2:35 PM: Strike on Al-Aaraj building near Bitar Center.

▪️2:48 PM: Strike on Al-King building on Al-Sawi Street.

Strikes continued into the evening across a wide area, including:

▪️Ma’rakah intersection (multiple raids)

▪️Burj Al-Shamali (drone strike, one injury reported)

▪️Haris, Baraashit, Deirkifa, and Siddiqin

▪️Al-Abbasiyah, Deir Antar (two raids, the second hitting while Civil Defense teams were present)

▪️Al-Masaken area near Lebanese Army barracks (injuries reported)

▪️Al-Housh area near the Lebanese-Italian Hospital

Late-night artillery shelling and airstrikes continued on Debbin and Balat until nearly midnight.

While many strikes were reported as causing no immediate injuries, several incidents resulted in casualties and significant structural damage. The second strike on Deir Antar specifically targeted a location while emergency responders from the Islamic Health Authority’s Civil Defense were on site. Injuries were also confirmed in the Al-Masaken and Burj Al-Shamali attacks.

This escalation comes amid ongoing cross-border tensions. The heavy focus on towns such as Debbin, Burj Qalawiyah, and areas near Tyre suggests a sustained Israeli campaign targeting Civilian infrastructure south of the Litani River.

Local residents and civil defense teams remain on high alert as strikes continued well into the night of May 31.
