The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released Statement No. 31, announcing ballistic missile strikes during the 21st wave of Operation Nasr 2. The statement alleges that U.S. C-17 transport aircraft and P-8 command-and-control aircraft at Jordan’s Aqaba Airport were targeted, with additional strikes reported on facilities at the nearby Al-Azraq (Muwaffaq Salti) Air Base.
The IRGC credited intelligence reportedly provided by individuals in Jordan for enabling what it described as precise targeting in the Azraq area. It claimed the strikes destroyed around 20 hangars and caused heavy damage to several U.S. aircraft, along with casualties among U.S. personnel.
Satellite images circulating in media reports appear to show damage consistent with destruction at some hangar facilities in the area. However, these reports of damage to hangars, aircraft, and any personnel casualties have not been independently verified. Jordanian authorities have indicated that Aqaba Airport remains operational.

“The invading U.S. military personnel, who over the past several decades have attacked more than ten Islamic countries and killed millions of Muslims, and who are the principal supporters of the child-killing Zionist regime in the mass killing of the people of Gaza and the destruction of the West Bank, are, under religious law, considered to have forfeited the protection of their lives, and every Muslim, wherever they are able to reach them, must kill these savage murderers.”
The statement also expressed thanks to Jordanians for what the IRGC described as their “efforts and cooperation, which, by fulfilling a religious duty, help pave the way for the liberation of Jerusalem.”
